The legendary lawman of the Old West, Wyatt Earp, is buried at Colma, Ca. just south of San Francisco. His third wife, Josie Marcus, was from San Francisco and they lived in the City throughout the 1890's.
Saint Dominic's Preview Van Morrison album from 1972. Some tracks were recorded at The Church in San Anselmo, Ca. which was a turn of the century old church turned hippie pad / recording studio in the sixties. The album cover photo by photographer Michael Maggid was shot on the steps of the Montgomery Chapel built in 1897 on the grounds of the San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo. Hand rails have been added since the 1972 photos were taken and it appears the color of the door was shifted to blue for the album cover when compared to outtakes which show the door as green.
